The follow-up Master's degree programme Financial Informatics and Blockchain provides training for professionals whose main focus is informatics and secondary focus is finance. In the field of informatics, the graduates specialize in the design and development of blockchain applications, information and database systems. In finance, the graduates specialise in financial institutions. The graduates are able to combine their computer science knowledge and skills with knowledge of the workings of the traditional banking world, enabling them to analyse, design and manage projects not only in traditional financial institutions but also in the emerging field of decentralised finance.
The graduates shall be able to respond flexibly to technological advances and adaptability to labour market demand. The graduates´ employment profile fits the specialized job offers in traditional financial institutions and fintech start-ups, however, due to their strong IT background they are well employable in ICT companies and IT departments, including international corporations and foreign institutions. Independent entrepreneurial activity in the field of blockchain applications is also possible. Financial Informatics and Blockchain is an innovative and promising programme in the Czech Republic and worldwide the graduates of which possess a unique combination of knowledge and skills in high demand on the market.
