Graduation ceremony is a climax of a student’s life

19.10.2018

There is no nicest moment in the life of students than when they hear the tunes of the student anthem Gaudeamus Igitur and when they finally hold in their hands a diploma which certifies that they have successfully passed all the exams, credits, seminars and lectures. Therefore, our university puts an extraordinary stress on the gradution ceremony. In all our study centers the graduation ceremonies take place in beautiful interiors: in Prague it is in the church of Šimon a Juda, in Karlovy Vary in the church of  Máří Magdalena and in Most in the church of Nanebevzetí Panny Marie. Ambience is, without any doubt, essential for the atmosphere of the ceremony. The details of the ceremony are well thought over by the university well in advance, starting from the arrival of academics with the most prominent figure of the Rector - who participates in all our ceremonies and feels sorry any time she cannot attend – and finishing with a great accompaniment of live organ music. Thanks to this, the graduation ceremonies are a great experience for all attending people.

This year’s graduation ceremony was attended by 899 students to be graduated, out of which 682 were from Prague. Not all of the students to be graduated attended - some of them (mainly foreigners) received their diplomas earlier. We believe that all of the 899 students will evoke the memory of their graduation ceremony any time they touch their diploma.
