Our university becomes the host of the meeting of the Executive Committee of the International Association of University Presidents (International Associaction of University Presidents, IAUP) in September 2014. This decision was confirmed during his visit to Prague on Thursday 17th October by Álvaro Romo, Secretary General of IAUP, and Tatsuro Tanioka, secretary of the organization. It is the first time in the history of IAUP that the Executive Committee meeting will be held in the Czech Republic. This is an extremely prestigious event, which in the world is always followed with the greatest interest, not only in academia, but also by the media and the general public.
The Rector of the University is a current member of the Executive Committee and on the occasion of the Prague visit she was offered the nomination for the next three years. The choice of the new management will be held next June in Yokohama.
