As summer comes to an end, let's look back on the highlight of the summer of 2023 at VSFS – our annual Summer Schools program!
This year, our Summer Schools made a strong comeback, bringing students from all around the world together in partnership with cooperating universities from abroad. A hearty welcome was extended to students from City University of Seattle's Summer School (USA/Mexico), Jiliang University (China), and CETYS University's Summer High School program from Mexico. Hosting students from these well-regarded institutions was a true honour for VSFS.
In total, we had the pleasure of having 112 students from Mexico and China visiting us this summer. They were all excited to learn about various subjects like project management, marketing, finance, economics, and international business. These studies provided them with practical skills for their future studies and careers. But it wasn't just about classes – the students also got to explore Prague and visit beautiful places such as Český Krumlov, Kutná Hora, Karlstejn, Terezin, and Vienna.
Beyond the classrooms, students had a chance to learn from the top experts while visiting such companies as KMPG, Huawei, Lego, and the Czech National Bank. They also got a unique opportunity to engage with dignitaries from the Mexican Embassy and business executives during a special VSFS conference day.
As the programs concluded, students presented their projects and received certificates. To wrap up this amazing summer school experience, a cheerful dinner at a local folklore restaurant highlighted the joy of new friendships and experiences.
Everyone celebrated the good times they had and the ongoing opportunities that VSFS is proud to offer through all of our internationally organized activities.
