V. International Intensive Program Sustainable Banking and Finance at VSFS

V. International Intensive Program Sustainable Banking and Finance at VSFS

University of finance and Administration hosted the fifth edition of the international Intensive Program (IP) “Sustainable Banking and Finance” in April 2018.

There were five partner universities involved from Belgium – University College HoGhent, the Czech Republic – VSFS University of Finance and Administration, the Netherlands - Inholland Unviersity of Applied Sciences (project coordinator), Poland – University of Economics in Katowice and Spain - Universidad CEU San Pablo, which students and teachers worked together in 6 international topic groups. The topics of the program were:

  1. Financial regulation/anti money laundering;
  2. Taxation and fiscal regulation;
  3. Corporate Governance/Bonuses and Motivation;
  4. Banking 2020 and beyond/the influence of Fintech;
  5. Alternative ways of financing and sustainable investment;
  6. Socially responsible investment.

The whole program connects theory with practise and tries to approach the notion of sustainability in different contexts and different countries.

During the IP, students and teacher worked very hard, but also visited the Czech National Bank, listened to the external speaker from ČNB with the seminar „ Statistics in a changing (central banking) world “, participated in Intercultural Communication workshop, explored city of Prague including city game, worked in international topic groups and prepared poster presentations too. In the end of the program all of the participants visited National Memorial on the Vítkov hill where was also the closing ceremony with handing out the certificates and Farewell gala dinner.

VSFS was honoured to become part of the IP SBaF and would like to thank to IP partners for such a fruitful cooperation and the teachers and students for active participation in a very intensive week.
