University of Finance and Administration celebrated the opening of VSFS Campus, a modern accommodation designed especially for foreign students. It was built from its own funds. The University has invested in the reconstruction of the building and interiors about 20 million CZK. The entire project was completed within 7 months.
VSFS Campus is located in a newly renovated house in the Zizkov district (Vlkova 12, Prague 3), in a quiet and safe location near the city center with excellent transport connections. Total capacity is 72 beds. There are high standard furnished rooms with a fridge and wi-fi. You also find a laundry room, fully equipped kitchen and a club with a TV there. The building is being guarded for 24 hours a day.
Students showed extraordinary interest in being accommodated in Campus, as evidenced by the fact that Campus is completely occupied for the academic year 2016/2017. "University of Finance and Administration is the university with the highest number of foreign students, including public universities," said the rector Bohuslava Šenkýřová during the opening ceremony. "Opening of Campus reflects this fact. I must admit that the students’ extraordinary interest in accommodation in Campus makes us think about other projects of a similar nature, "she added.
Opening ceremony, which was held on September 2, 2016, was attended by a senator and the councilor of Prague 10, where VSFS is based, Ivana Cabrnochová. Other important guests were representatives of the companies that participated in the project and Antonio Flores Esqueda from City University of Seattle and several Chinese students who will be moving to Campus in the following days.
