On Wednesday, May 22, 2013, VŠFS organized one of its traditional meetings of graduates which represents an occasion when former students can recall their studies and meet their pedagogues and friends.
Almost 160 guests met on the boat in spite of rainy and inclement weather. Our boat was floating to the rythm of hawaian songs and the programme was accompanied with excellent food and drinks and mainly an excellent atmosphere. One of the party surprises was drawing lots obtained by the participants upon the purchase of flower wreaths. The winners acquired fine prizes, the main of which were the traditional lunch with the Rector in a luxurious restaurant, the book „ The World through the Heart of Bohuslava Šenkýřová“ with her dedication or an exclusive wrapping of Veronia coffee.
The total profit from the purchase of wreaths was a good 18,800 Kč. This amount will be put into the study fund of VŠFS which is for talented but somehow handicapped students.
The end of the boat trip was crowned by a magnificient fireworks display which attracted all the participants out on deck. Briefly said, this year’s graduates meeting went well and it is not just our opinion. We guessed that from the tens of contented and smiling faces of people who really enjoyed their trip on the steam boat Vyšehrad. We look forward to the following meeting next year.
